Under the direction of Northamptonshire fiddle player, Jenny Newman The Big Fiddle Band is a community fiddle group group that welcomes  players of all ages and abilities - literally from 8 to 80!

The repertoire is drawn from the fantastic wealth of traditions from the British Isles and beyond, along with  specially written tunes. The tunes are often given countermelodies and harmony parts which give an interesting twist but also allow less able players to contribute in a meaningful way.
Over the years the band have made numerous appearances at village events,weddings and fundraising concerts as well as festivals. In 2013 alone the BFB helped to raise over £4000 for good causes.

Many of the members attend weekly classes or private lessons with Jenny which cater for all levels - from complete beginner to advanced player.For more details please get in touch.
